🤝 By joining forces and combining InSCREENeX’ cutting-edge CI-SCREEN methodology with AlveoliX’ patented organ-on-chip technology, we co-developed a new immortalized alveolar cell line, specially tuned for on-chip applications.
🧫 AXiAECs derived from primary alveolar epithelial cells and grown on-chip feature key aspects of the distal lung environment, such as tight barrier formation and robust expression of alveolar epithelial cell-specific markers. This new distal lung model can be a precious in-vitro research tool for acute and chronic lung toxicity and efficacy testing.
