🤔 Since 1938, the FDA has required that all drugs need to be tested in animal models prior to clinical trials. However, science and technology have advanced considerably in the past years. So, it is time to change! 
 
💪 At AlveoliX we support the initiative of the FDA Modernization Act to recognize and implement legally the use of alternatives and non-animal methods such as Organs-on-Chip to help deliver safer and better drugs. 
 
☝️ The FDA Modernization Act does not call for the immediate elimination of animal testing. Instead, it allows researchers to use the most appropriate models for their studies, which may often mean using #MPS instead of animals. For others, it may mean using MPS to whittle down the number of drug candidates advancing to animal trials.
